illustrae Fish Addict Posts: 820 Kudos: 876 Registered: 04-May-2005 | These are some of the smallest crayfish available, topping out at just over 1 inch long. They are scavengers and detrius eaters and can actually be kept in community tanks without harming fish. In fact, if you have fish like gouramis, loaches, or cichlids, you'd need to worry about the fish damaging the crays. They are extremely easy to keep, and may even breed for you. They aren't likely to fight among each other, either, so you can keep a bunch of them. They are great for planted tanks, but any tank with plenty of hiding places that will allow them spaces to molt safely will be fine. Anything else? Hoping that there must be a word for everything I mean... |
