Something in my nano tank has been killing a shrimp a day for over a week. I have found the shell of it on the heater.


Today I found the culprit and put it outside in the dogs pool to eat mosquito larvae instead of my shrimp.

Man, that pic of the shell is hardcore. These things might be mini-killers but they do look pretty cool.

He likely came in on an anubias on driftwood which I bought a few weeks ago.

Also they will hide INSIDE plant stems of certain types. Hornwort, cadomba, and that type are good for it. They do it by cutting the stem and then hollowing it out. I got one from Hornwort that way. Caught him before he got in the tank, they also eat small fish.
