My daughter had some little frogs that would eat them or try too. She would have to have tweezers handy for when they got stuck. The frogs were not the clawed kind, just little frogs.

gouramies would enjoy the snack

ghost shrimp are fairly low down the food chain unfortunately

Most fish that are large enough to eat them find that ghost shrimp make nice snacks. Gouramis (besides the very small species, such as dwarfs, sparkling gouramis, honeys, etc.) are usually happy to eat ghost shrimp, as are many catfish.

I don't know of any snails that would be capable of eating a live ghost shrimp, though dead ones are another matter.

Even tiny gouramis like sparkling gouramis will pester small shrimp and make them miserable. I put two sparkling gouramis in with my cherry shrimp and they still attacked legs and antennae.

Hoping that there must be a word for everything I mean...

I started with 20 ghost shrimp in my 10 gallon.

At the time it had 3 under an inch danios, and 2 small gold barbs that were waiting to be moved to another tank.

One week later I didn't have ghost shrimp.
