Gathering of the Shrimps and some with "Peas" | |
keithgh *Ultimate Fish Guru* Posts: 6371 Kudos: 6918 Votes: 1542 Registered: 26-Apr-2003 | A mix of photos of my Cherry Red Shrimps. I watched the M&F on the Crypt leaf for some time but nothing happened it just appeared to be a staring match. I feed them with a squashed cooked pea at least 3 times a week. They just go crazy at them. The small balls are possibly Terracotta they range from 2mm to 5mm in Dia. I often watch the shrimps grazing on them for the algae. What the photos do show is that you think they have a solid colour until you enlarge the Macro photos. Since I now have the Crypts right up to the front I can observe them a lot closer plus the Cardinals will not go down to the substrate level there. At a guess I would say I have seen the odd one or two about the 5mm mark even inside the pea outer shell. The bigger ones will actually move what they can as not to share it with the others.
