Im thinking of getting a 5 or 6 gallon tank and putting guppies in.

Will ghost shrimp hurt my fish and vice versa?

Are they worth the time and money (even though its not a whole lot).

I'll do graffiti,
If you sing to me in French.

I have ghost shrimp in with my guppies. I have an adult female guppy, 6 juvies and 15 fry, and about 10 ghost shrimp and everyone seems to be pretty happy.

I have kept ghost shrimp in a fry tank, the larger ghost shrimp would eat the frys every once in a while(ofcourse the frys had no hidding places), but it should be fine

I have ghost shrimp in with gups too. When I throw sinking bottom feeder wafers in the gups usually pick at it until the shrimps swim up and steal them away. Very funny little creatures especially considering they are bred to be food.
