I have 3 male fiddler crabs and 3 female fiddler crabs, and I was wondering if they are taking up much of my bioload? I dont really think they are, Ive never really considered them while thinking about my bioload. My concern is they might be taking up more than I am allowing for them and throwing my whole tank off...

Crabs don't add a whole lot to the bioload in terms of waste, but they are very messy eaters, so unless you have something cleaning up after them, then the water quality problems can come from decaying food, especially if you're using a sand substrate.

I've been keeping cherry shrimp with my larger crayfish (same problem) and the crays don't seem to bother the shrimp, so you may consider getting some to clean up after your crabs. Ghost shrimp would be good, too. What kind of setup do you have for them? Is it half sand-half water? All water?

Hoping that there must be a word for everything I mean...

It is mostly water, but they can climb out and have access to the air on a peice of driftwood I have in the tank.

Shrimp would probably be perfect for you, then.
