illustrae Fish Addict Posts: 820 Kudos: 876 Registered: 04-May-2005 | Fidlers are supposed to be okay in pairs, and some people have good luck with small colonies, but a 2 gal. tank is not big enough for even one of these inverts, even though they don't get much larger than 2.5 inches. These crabs need a lot of space for digging and staking territories. A 10 gal tank would be large enough for maybe one pair, with an additional 10 gallons of space for every additional crab. Shrimp, on the other hand, will do fine in a 2 gallon tank, and you coul dhave as many as 10 of them, especially if the tank is planted with heat and filtration. Hoping that there must be a word for everything I mean... |
