So, you have two dwarf gouramis and one is chasing the other one? You probably have two males, and the dominant one doesn't tolerate the other very well. Dwarf gouramis can be suprisingly aggressive towards conspecifics, especially when males are involved. If you can't solve the problem by breaking up the current territories and providing extra cover, then it would be a good idea to return one of the fish.

And when he gets to Heaven, to Saint Peter he will tell: "One more Marine reporting, Sir! I've served my time in Hell."

This is fairly common with most gourami species, especially if you have two males. Is your tank planted with plenty of hiding places? Watch them for a few more weeks and see if they don't calm down (it took my pearls about 4 weeks to tolerate each other). If it looks like one of them is getting nipped or shredded fins, separate them immediately.

Hoping that there must be a word for everything I mean...

tank size is 285L but with water level, gravel etc its only 200L. there is 3 big bits of driftwood creating caves and is heavily planted along sides and back side of tank.
other tank mates are 4 glowlight tetras.

You have enough room and it sounds like there are enough hiding places to provide territory for them both. I would just keep an eye on them - if their are injuries to either of them- they would need to be seperated.
