Betta and Cory's | |
soclosetome Enthusiast Posts: 239 Kudos: 49 Votes: 0 Registered: 13-Jan-2003 | Can you keep one Betta and 3 corries safely together? If not, what can I add with a Betta? This would be in a 10 gallon. |

In July I added three Albino corys. Two were less than an inch long. The corys were all over the tank. They never bothered the betta, and he never bothered them. The batta would just stay to the back upper part of the tank. A week later I removed the corys and put them in my 55gal that already had 4 albino corys. Everybody seems happier now. The betta is once again all over the 10 gal. I think some bettas just don't like company. He is now the only living thing in the 10 gal. Subic76 Last edited by Subic76 at 07-Aug-2005 08:08 |

Remember that the Corydoras like to stay in schools. http://uk.pg.photos.yahoo.com/ph/s8xi5heh/my_photos http://www.geocities.com/s8xi5heh/classic_blue.html http://groups.yahoo.com/group/buzaqq/ http://www.flickr.com/photos/corydoras/ Member of the Malta Aquarist Society - 1970. http://www.maltaaquarist.com |

I've had bad experiences with both male and female bettas when kept with cories, but these two were especially temperamental. Maybe you have one that is nicer. If you've had him for a while, maybe you can ascertain his disposition. |
