Betta's and Gravel | |
xsolitaryshellx Small Fry Posts: 8 Kudos: 3 Registered: 18-Mar-2006 | my betta has been searching the bottom of the tank for food lately, and has been trying to eat the gravel. the times ive seen him do this he's spat the gravel out, but still i was worried, and wondering whether anything bad would happen if he happened to swallow some? |

If there is wasted food on the bottom it could cause a problem if not removed. I have perfect cleaners for my Betta tank Khuil Loaches they dont miss any left overs and keep the bottom very clean. What is your feeding program variety and how much? Have a look in [link=My Profile] http://www.fishprofiles.com/forums/member.aspx?id=1935[/link] for my tank info Look here for my Betta 11Gal Desktop & Placidity 5ft Community Tank Photos Keith Near enough is not good enough, therefore good enough is not near enough, and only your best will do. Panda cories are gorgeous, but having one by itself isn't really the best, as they get nervous without a group. You really need at least 2-3, but if your tank isn't big enough, we might need to see if we can find another option. Is the betta eating the goldfish flakes? They are a lot more veggie than meat, and bettas need meat. What pellets did you try? Mine are pretty fussy, they all love Hikari bio-gold, but only 1/2 like the Soft and Moist, and all but 3 have liked the Betta Bites. Its really very annoying I have piles of food and have to remember who eats what! |
