Everytime I clean my bowl it is stays clean for about a day and then this wierd cloudy chunky stuff forms around my betta and then floats around in the water. It looks like wet tissue paper or something. I think it is fungus of some sort but i am not sure. What can I do to get rid of it. Any suggestions?

I assume you know what a bubble nest is? If not it looks like "suds" on the surface of a Bettas tank or bowl. If it's not, then all that comes to my mind is maybe the bowl needs to be rinsed out good. Or are you maybe using a paper towel for something after a water change and some lint from that is going into the bowl? Is there a chance you could post some pics? That would be helpful. Good Luck!

could be biofilm, sort of like an oil slick?

If no, cut down on the roting material in the bowl, and check your betta for finrot.

Has your betta changed behaviour? does he appear to be struggling breathing? is he eating? How big is the tank? Does it have plants/snails? What colour is the cloudy substance yellowish/whitish/greyish?.
How thick is the cloudy substance? and where does it form on the fish?

It's difficult to pinpoint to a disease at this stage as there are many things that may cause what you are describing.
At this stage give the tank a good clean and see if that helps, remember to keep the temperature the same as the original water and to treat the water with ager and a conditioner, addition of aquarium salt may also help.

I tried doing thorough cleanings; he doesn’t seem to be going up for air a lot. It doesn’t seem to a bubble nest either. His behavior is good; he seems happy, active, and healthy. The cloudy substance is whitish, and looks like see through algae wavy stuff. It’s about a one gallon tank with gravel, it has no live plants. He eats very well. I will try to keep his tank extra clean and see if that helps and I will let you guys know how it goes.
