Hi to any experienced Betta people out there. I was wondering if a male betta would be ok in a 48in x 18in x 24in tank with 6 silver dollars, 2 red blood parrots, 1 firemouth, cardinal tetras, 2 swordtails, 2 yoyo loaches and 2 zebra loaches. I have to ask before buying one because as I understand it they do normally like to be alone in a smaller tank. Can anyone give me any advice on this please even if you think its a no no I would rather no than go and buy one and find out that way many thanks to you all.

the firemouth may be a problem. the betta will do best in a smaller tank with out a power full filter. now with the betta, it depends on its aggressiveness. if he is more aggressive, then he may attack some of his tankmates, but if he is mild, then he may get attacked by his tankmates.

No, i don't think that your Betta will be Ok in that tank.
Betta's prefer smaller tanks without big currents & it's better to keep them alone.

I agree not a very happy place for a Betta. As far as a small tank I have seen many in LFS in large tanks and one in particular a 6ft plant tank he was having a ball freedom at last. I am putting one Betta in a 11G with a few peacefull fish.
