Bettas and African Dwarf Frogs? | |
Betta_Fantasy Hobbyist Posts: 94 Kudos: 44 Votes: 0 Registered: 30-Dec-2005 | I have 4 khuli loaches, and a betta in a ten gallon, and I was wondering if I could add an African Dwarf Frog in there safely? Would there be any compatibility issues I should be aware of? And would it be able to live in the tank for the length of it's life? Or would I have to upgrade to a larger tank down the road? Otherwise I might just add two cherry barbs, or leave the tank as is if you guys think the tank is fully stocked as it is. |

Does this help at all. You could find the Cherry Barb will nip the Betta I had one in my Betta tank for a short time and was often seen chasing the M Betta. Have a look in [link=My Profile] http://www.fishprofiles.com/forums/member.aspx?id=1935[/link] for my tank info Look here for my Betta 11Gal Desktop & Placidity 5ft Community Tank Photos Keith Near enough is not good enough, therefore good enough is not near enough, and only your best will do. The tank has: 4 khuli loaches 1 betta 3 fake plants 3 caves |

If you like the khulis, I would try going with only 2 so you don't over crowd the bottom. Cardinals may be a great idea, but as I stated in your other posts, I try to keep bettas solitary, but thats just me. Inky |

Keep an eye out for any White spot and treat as soon as you see the first outbreak. Cardinals are certainly hardier that the common Neon Have a look in [link=My Profile] http://www.fishprofiles.com/forums/member.aspx?id=1935[/link] for my tank info Look here for my Betta 11Gal Desktop & Placidity 5ft Community Tank Photos Keith Near enough is not good enough, therefore good enough is not near enough, and only your best will do. (Which I have had only bad experiences with) so I went with a pair of cherry barbs. If the khuli loaches are slow growers, they should be fine in the ten gallon for a while until I can upgrade to a bigger tank (or move two into another ten gallon or something) |

That way the male doesn't stress the one female out by chasing her all the time. I think you are stocked now...so I wouldn't add anything else (other than the 3rd cherry). |
