I'm not totally sure about the Pencil Fish however... Khuli Loaches are quite nice companions! You could also put it Bristlenoses, Neons/Cardinals or other tetras, or maybe even a Sole! (They may not be widely available but i've seen them in aus keith )Urm.. to sort out possible confusion, don't put all these fish in! |

Some bettas are not that aggressive and can tolerate tankmates, just be ready to haul it out if he gets too agravated. I think the white clouds might be a bit too fast moving. I have kept Bettas with platy, cories, neons, and apple snails. The best experience I had was with the platies. The betta used to follow them around thinking he was a platy. ___________________________________________ If at first you DO succeed, try not to look astonished. |

Small tetras would work also, but the otos do a fantastic job of keeping you plants clear of any algae. A mystery snail is out, because it might try to eat your plants. Shrimp would be another option. But if your betta is one of the more aggressive ones, you might not be able to keep any other fish in there. |

I agree with everyone else, personality is the key, be ready to pull anything you try with him out. A cherry barb or 2 mightwork. Last edited by doedogg at 08-Mar-2005 10:16 ~ Mae West |
