I am very supprised even know how quickly he has settled in. Besides there is no way could I hold a net up close and take a photo at the same time, and if he got out byby Betta. keithgh *Ultimate Fish Guru* Posts: 6371 Kudos: 6918 Votes: 1542 Registered: 26-Apr-2003 | Theresa_M He is darker on his back but he is more of a brighter dark blue and red. He had a lot more red when I bought him. Apprently the colours can change due to the water and food also their general health stress etc. Keith Near enough is not good enough, therefore good enough is not near enough, and only your best will do. And Keith, I was just about to hand feed my betta boys last night, but they wanted it literallyhand for food heidi "I've got a great ambition to die of exhaustion rather than boredom." fry Enthusiast Posts: 243 Kudos: 195 Votes: 3 Registered: 27-Jul-2004 | there are two reasons i can think of: 1. the film is not color adjusted well for this kind of blue 2. the direct lighting changes the color. what are you planning for his new home? |

keithgh *Ultimate Fish Guru* Posts: 6371 Kudos: 6918 Votes: 1542 Registered: 26-Apr-2003 | Fry I can assure you it was not the direct overhead lighting, the light was on the side if not I could not have taken the photo. I use Photo Shop no problems there. The tank will be very heavly planted with a good water movement (I said good) not too strong as I can adjust the water flow rate. fry Enthusiast Posts: 243 Kudos: 195 Votes: 3 Registered: 27-Jul-2004 | the shadow is downwards. how did you get enough light for taking the shot? i merely suggested that stronger white light needed for photographing tanks might change the subjective color of the fish compared to just looking at it through the glass. |

Glad he's doing good, heidi "I've got a great ambition to die of exhaustion rather than boredom." Thomas Carlyle |
