Foods & recommended temperature for a Betta in a 20lt | |
keithgh *Ultimate Fish Guru* Posts: 6371 Kudos: 6918 Votes: 1542 Registered: 26-Apr-2003 | Do they require any special food requirements also remembering I feed my other tank a big variety. Is there any specific food I should not use. Also the recommended Temp Keith Near enough is not good enough, therefore good enough is not near enough, and only your best will do. It's been reportedly linked to cause constipation in bettas when fed too often. Temp should be kept around 76-78 F. HTH |

I would caution you with the blood worms, use them only as a treat occasionally as they can cause constipation in bettas. Bettas can get bound up easily. The common cure for constipation in bettas is to feed a shelled pee, and if that doesn't work. Starve him for a few days, then feed the shelled pee. |
