im sorry for your loss. you betta could have died for many reasons. the first thing i would think about was the water. did you treat it properly? was the clorine contenet high? what were the living condition for the betta?
once again, im sorry for your loss depending on where you bought your fish, it may still be under "warranty" and maybe able to return it for a refund.

Sorry to hear about your loss.

Did you float the bag and added a little of you water so that it would acclimatize it to its new home. Also did you add any stress additive to the new home for her.

I suggest you take a sample of you water to where you pushased her and explain what happened and ask then could they do a full water test for you.
