Gouramis and tetras | |
illustrae Fish Addict Posts: 820 Kudos: 876 Registered: 04-May-2005 | I have yet another question about my sparkling gouramis... I have 8 little sparklers and a pair of pearl Gouramis that will soon be moving to a 30 gal long planted aquarium. The tank is cycling with three green flame tetras that I got as a freebie included with the pearl gouramis. Provided they all survive the cycling process (and at this time, it looks like they will with no problems at all) I plan to expand the school to about 8-9. A friend who keeps tons of glow-light tetras and used to keep sparkling gouramis said that she had problems at feeding time when the tetras and sparklers would compete for the food. She didn't say which species won the competitions, but I'm wondering if anyone else has noticed this kind of behavior and/or had similar problems. Hoping that there must be a word for everything I mean... |

Some Tetra's are quite fast & at feeding time they get faster. http://uk.pg.photos.yahoo.com/ph/s8xi5heh/my_photos http://www.geocities.com/s8xi5heh/classic_blue.html http://groups.yahoo.com/group/buzaqq/ http://www.flickr.com/photos/corydoras/ Member of the Malta Aquarist Society - 1970. http://www.maltaaquarist.com |
