I have yet another question about my sparkling gouramis...
I have 8 little sparklers and a pair of pearl Gouramis that will soon be moving to a 30 gal long planted aquarium. The tank is cycling with three green flame tetras that I got as a freebie included with the pearl gouramis. Provided they all survive the cycling process (and at this time, it looks like they will with no problems at all) I plan to expand the school to about 8-9. A friend who keeps tons of glow-light tetras and used to keep sparkling gouramis said that she had problems at feeding time when the tetras and sparklers would compete for the food. She didn't say which species won the competitions, but I'm wondering if anyone else has noticed this kind of behavior and/or had similar problems.

Hoping that there must be a word for everything I mean...

If you feed them in 2 different places at the same time, I don't see any problems.
Some Tetra's are quite fast & at feeding time they get faster.

if i recall right, aren't sparkling gouramies suppose to keep by themselves b/c of there shy behavoiur. anyway you can try feeding them in 2 spots, but for my rainbows, and female bettas, i will feed alot of food and the rainbows will get there fill, and i hand feed my female bettas. so every1 gets food to eat.
