Just make sure if that is what you are feeding that it is just a small amount. I'm know betta expert, but I've read where they can have a tendency to over eat if allowed too, which can cause some constipation problems. Jim |

funnyfish Hobbyist Posts: 123 Kudos: 120 Votes: 20 Registered: 28-Jan-2005 | its not what i feed them but when i feed my pleco they have a tendency to eat some of it and what ever is left of it through out the day like a snake. they seem to enjoy it though and i think they stoped eating there betta pellets. but i was jut wonderin if it was safe for them. |

So IMO, your Bettas eating some of the algae wafers shouldn't hurt anything.... In fact, I've heard and read that a varied diet seems to be important to all types of fish's immune systems... And if you check the ingredients you'll see most veg flakes still have quite a bit of fish meal in them, so they have some protein as well.
