i went to my lfs in search or red rosy minnows and walked by a tank and saw lovely female bettas.

so i picked up the whole tank full(which was only 8)

they are special to me, as they all have long fins. i had long fin females in the past, but it was still good to find some more around.

2 are steel, and the 6 are cambodians.

pics soon

You seem to spend a lot of time at you LFS, going there that often you are bound to have some good finds. I walked in a local pet & LFS to fill in time while wife went shopping and came out with a powder blue and red M Betta all his fins are not showing the usual LFS tattered look.
What is your total count of M&F Bettas also how many fry do you have?
Do you show them and have you had any luck at shows?
Well done BC

Have a look in [link=My Profile] http://www.fishprofiles.com/forums/member.aspx?id=1935[/link] for my tank info

a bad thing of observing them is that they have alot of fighting genes in them, they aren't fancy fighting styles, they are a specific plakat fighting style (dont remember the name) alot of these "more" fancy girls seem to go after the face and gill plate region where as my less fancy girls seem to fight like a vt male betta. odd

just went back to the smae lfs and they have been getting nice females. i picked up 5 new females, abosultly huge.

they are all cambodians with long fin genes, but the body size is 2-3 inches and than the fins. still great finds

will get pics soon, as well as comparison photos to my reg sized females.

i also forgot to add that i picked up 2 males today as well.

1 vt red butterfly,
1 celophane vt male.
