While getting my Eheim for the new tank I saw the Beta I was looking for dark blue and red colourings. I will not be ready for at least another month so this is what I have done.

I bought a breeding net and fixed it to the side of the 5ft tank away from main water disturbance. I have also placed several small pieces of a floating water sprite to give him some top protection. This net is not under the light either.
By placing him in this tank he will also get used to seeing other fish. This should prepare him to be sociable I hope.

What I have noticed already he lost a lot of the red for the first 48 hrs but it is slowly coming back.

Congratulations, Keith. Know that it must be a very stunning betta to catch your eye and looking forward to some pictures soon.

Thank you for you replies. Photos could be rather hard at the moment as he is in the netted area and I could only do a photo from the top.
