Kribs demand reasonable water quality, if its near overstock then youre better giving the krib a miss. Theyre not as tough as gouramies and tiger barbs than that respect. I know some african river fish tolerate some pretty dire water quality, but kribs like it clean and well oxygenated with low nitrate. A few kribs might tolerate rough water quality in drier areas, but on average the stock you buy in shops wont tolerate poor water quality for long, and 20 gallon isnt that big when you realise a krib might claim one third of it. It doesnt leave much room for the other fish who are already a little crowded.

I might work out , but equally you might get problems.

Update: I have the krib in the 10gallon Barb tank. I will only have the barb tank for a SHORT while longer. I mean like 2 weeks longer. Then i will move the barbs to the 35 hexagon, and move the gold gourami to my dad's 80gal baby pool. Dont worry, it will be naturally filtered with plants, along with a Very small filter for it. After all, it is only a 1ft deep pool! It is going to be outside, and is going to have a pleco in there, along with a gourami to eat the mosquito larvae.

The 10 gallon barb tank is going to be converted into a 10 gallon Kribenses Breeding Tank + 1 snail. YAY!

Ill keep updated!
