What are the min. tank requirements for a pearl or dwarf gourmi? Would they get a long with a betta or is it not worth the risK?

I would say that the min tank size for the dwarf is 10g, maybe even 5g, but for the pearl id say the min is 20g. As for getting along with a betta its worth a try, but at the first sign of a gill flare you should remove the betta.

Cool I saw some AWSOME Blue Dwarf Males the other day for only $3. I have an extra tank for Klaus.

Do you have any other tankmates with Klaus? If so, have you noticed any aggression from him?

He's had a few, nothing now. He's pretty old for a betta

Iwould only do one dwarf gourami in the tank, though. They can be territorial with each other.

zebra danios wouldnt hesitate to nip your betta's fins so youd have to remove the betta if you do happen to buy the danios

I've kept a single Pearl gourami in a 10 gal. for about 6 weeks before (it was a quarrantine tank during a major overhaul of my planted tank). He wasn't happy and looked terribly cramped, and I couldn't keep ANYTHING with him at all. He even chased the ottos.

Hoping that there must be a word for everything I mean...

I decided not to get one, since I don't want to risk quarilling between the two fish. Instead, I got some small rasaboras, and they are getting along great with Klaus!
