I probally won't have a filter, but hopefully will get a heater. Do I have to leave the water for a week like big tanks or not ? How often do I have to change the water ? Can I get the tank and the betta on the same day ? What can I have to stop the betta from jumpin out ? How amny gallons is an alright amount. It will have to be below 5 gallons. Is 3 okay ? Plus could you post some pictures of small tanks, so I can get an Idea. Thanks, Lee ![]() |

Depending on the size of the tank you can change 100% of the water once a week, or 25% weekly. If you do partial changes (25% or so) then yes, you should cycle the tank. You need a lid. If the tank doesn't come with one, I have a site that shows how to make one from plastic canvas. If worst comes to worst, use glad wrap ![]() |

I found WC's a right pain. Do you do 100% a week or 50% or what? and do you think a hex is ok, cos I did but my betta disagrees and is much happier in the 25G. Your tanks ALWAYS look so nice. am jealous. GFG PS. do you have heaters in your tanks? Last edited by goldfishgeek at 26-Aug-2005 18:38 Never be bullied into silence.
