bettachris Ultimate Fish Guru Posts: 3875 Kudos: 4173 Votes: 452 Registered: 13-Jun-2004 | i moved a group of females into a betta-only tank, and released a short tail male in their while cleaning his tank. i did buy a new betta at the same time, a nice looking celliphane short tail, assuming it was a female, came back 2 hours later, and the short tail i added was badly wounded. so i removed him and started healing him(he would later die) i didn't think much of it until the end of the water changes. than it stuck me, that maybe one of the females was over aggressive, but this group of girls i have had for some time and never found them to be overly aggressive, but than i realized that on a short fin male, their should be no way that he is getting fin nipped. so i looked back into the tank and there was a bubble nest. and again since i had the female group for some time now i knew they were all female, so i watched and found out that my cell is actually a short tail male. grrr @ stupid mistakes |
