Ok, I changed my water on sat and noticed the beta hasn't been nearly as active anymore. The water seems fine, he's eating fine. and he swims around every once and a while but before hand he was insane swimming in circles 24/7. Any ideas? :'

You have not mentioned what percentage of water you changed.
Was the water prepared all chemical free and ph adjusted if necessary?

Depending on you water supply several parts of Aust are adding more Chlorine and other chemicals at the moment.

This is one very good reason to store the water for one week.

Do a full tank water test and your water syupply test as well.

when they are like that, it seems that bettas lose condition. after water changes they wont be active, but u changed it a long time ago. this betta may be old. my mom adds another betta next door, and she SW**rs that it works to make them more active. give it a try.

Maybe you can leave a mirror near him for a few minutes & see his reaction.
When making water changes, try to have the same water parameters, as he already have & be as close as you can.

Hi Ogrt48

You don't say what kind of set up you have but is it possible he could be a bit on the chilly side? My friend had her's in a small tank without lights, heater or filter and as it got colder over here this fish became less active. She bought a light and it helped warm him up a little and returned to his normal self.

hope that's useful
