i have a VT betta, but he doesn't like to eat, i've tried all the foods from my other tank (flakes, bloodworm, tubifex,) tried specific betta foods (2 dif brands dont have names of them with me)
infact the only thing i have got him to eat was snails from my community tank, which i have run out of (new apisto's seem to like them too!)

any suggestions?

Cheers

Just leave him a day or two without food & then try again. If he is hungry, he'll eat what you'll feed him.

change the water, and warm it up alittle, this should boost his metabolizm and should start eatting.

I agree heat the tank up a bit, do several water changes also try one squashed cooked pea.

try blackworms if you can find them in the blue fridge on the counter usually

just outta curiosity, what IS the temp in the tank. Bettas prefer warmer water, around 78 degrees farenheiht or so, and too cool of water will make them quite unlively, sluggish and definitly will affect appetite.

starve him 4 about 2 days and put a mirror so he can see his reflection. he will fight his relflection and use his energy up and should be dying 2 eat. i did that and it worked great.
