with every day that passes, new color forms/sizes/finage/bodies etc.. the list goes on, bettas are now coming on the market, i dont know about u, but i am missing the olde bettas, blue/red plakats, stronger red veils.

not that i dont like the new types but i just miss those, and i think it is a shame that they are often over looked.

one type that will never get old though is betta macrostoma, still not been changed, and still very expensive to get. i love they way they breed though, very odd.

People are wanting to see something different in colours and shapes. If selective breeding is done very well. Could all these new types be the throw outs of the commercial breeders as they strive for that perfect Betta.
