Sometimes guppies eat their own fry and sometimes they don't. I had much better luck when males were left in with the females to chase them around. Then both the males were busy and the females were busy getting chased so they didn't bother to eat the fry. Hiding places like plants and decorations also help. Ghost shrimp rarely go after fry but it's not completely unheard of. Even if you have ghost shrimp take interest in the fry they rarely catch many so you'd only lose 1 or 2.

Yes thay can stay in the same tank as the adult guppies they would love them for a snack. Shrimp could/might go hunting at lights out for them

Can you keep them (the fry) in a mesh holding fry container until they get a bit bigger. It is either that of place the adult Guppies into another tank

If not add some floating Water Sprite to give the Fry some cover.

Have a look in [link=My Profile] http://www.fishprofiles.com/forums/member.aspx?id=1935[/link] for my tank info

Near enough is not good enough, therefore good enough is not near enough, and only your best will do.

You can feed them finely grinded pieces of flake food if you have any.
