OK i bought two females to accompany my male guppy a few weeks back and i was expectin fry... but then i was also expecting nature to take its course as it did with my molly's (RIP)

but alas nature has turned vegetarian and i think every single one survived. literally. i mean i do have a few plants but nothing excessive. there's no real hiding spots and i guess there's no reason y they wud have such a high survival rate either.

question is what to do with them? i'm gettin to the point where i'd have to get a 2nd tank to make sure my current stock doesnt get affected. what age do lfs' take them in?

or any other suggestions that wud take care of any future breeding sessions?

I would ask your LFS about what size they would like first. as for the future you can add a small catfish that will eat the fry like a bumblebee cat.

For the future it depends on what size tank you have. Dwarf gouramis are good at fry control if you have the space.

That is the trouble with live bearers once they start they never seem to stop then the next generation also starts breeding.
Go to the LFS and ask them they will tell you if they want them and what size they should be.

Have a look in [link=My Profile] http://www.fishprofiles.com/forums/member.aspx?id=1935[/link] for my tank info

I have given quite a few of them away to the fish stores around here - usually only a few survive to be rescued from the tank. About two to three months when they are about 1/2 inches long or more, is a good size to give them away. My danios usually cull them out very quickly, so I don't find that many.
