Guppy fry... | |
Mani Hobbyist Posts: 58 Kudos: 37 Votes: 0 Registered: 24-Aug-2004 | OK i bought two females to accompany my male guppy a few weeks back and i was expectin fry... but then i was also expecting nature to take its course as it did with my molly's (RIP) but alas nature has turned vegetarian and i think every single one survived. literally. i mean i do have a few plants but nothing excessive. there's no real hiding spots and i guess there's no reason y they wud have such a high survival rate either. question is what to do with them? i'm gettin to the point where i'd have to get a 2nd tank to make sure my current stock doesnt get affected. what age do lfs' take them in? or any other suggestions that wud take care of any future breeding sessions? |

Go to the LFS and ask them they will tell you if they want them and what size they should be. Have a look in [link=My Profile] http://www.fishprofiles.com/forums/member.aspx?id=1935[/link] for my tank info Look here for my Betta 11Gal Desktop & Placidity 5ft Community Tank Photos Keith Near enough is not good enough, therefore good enough is not near enough, and only your best will do. Two Tanks Big Fish Posts: 449 Kudos: 328 Votes: 13 Registered: 02-Jun-2003 | I have given quite a few of them away to the fish stores around here - usually only a few survive to be rescued from the tank. About two to three months when they are about 1/2 inches long or more, is a good size to give them away. My danios usually cull them out very quickly, so I don't find that many. |
