I had one who was big like that, she was likely a year old or more when i got her, and she lived another 9-10 months and gave birth to hundreds of baby guppies! betahex Fish Addict Posts: 864 Kudos: 352 Votes: 0 Registered: 11-Jul-2001 | that's a pretty guppy i used to have one that looked just like that. she was my biggest female guppy i've ever had as well. she was about 2 inches and lived for quite awhile. anyway, i just wanted to ask if a 5 inch guppy is even possible. i highly doubt it. i have to see it to believe it... |

It is not a great shot and can't totally tell her size from this angle but she is deffinetely a guppy as she has been bred several times and has had plenty of beautiful fry. If I get a chance I will take new better pics..... ~JAMIE~ attached this image: Edit: Can you find the hiding Albino Bristle Nose???? Last edited by ~JAMIE~ at 15-Dec-2004 19:36[/font] |

Risska Small Fry Posts: 6 Kudos: 0 Votes: 0 Registered: 07-Dec-2004 | Wow!!! Im amazed. My Biggest guppy is 2.5 inches long. It a females so no wonder. I have only had for about 9 months and when i got she was ony an inch long. and she still seems to be growing! She just gave birth recently to her 2nd batch. Im surprised she hasn't had more than that, to me thats kinda of odd. |

smantzer Big Fish Posts: 378 Kudos: 347 Votes: 10 Registered: 02-Nov-2004 | A while ago, I was visiting my favorite LFS, just poking around...and all of a sudden, I saw... a FIVE INCH guppy! I bought her immediately, needless to say... unfortunately, I think she's sterile, because she's been with males before and hasn't had babies or shown any signs of pregnancy...but still...is this common, is it heard of, or do I have a godzilla guppy?! |
