Anyone find that their male guppies are so very e to ich? All my male guppies got these beautiful long black and purple tails that get totally eaten away by ich or the flesh eating bacteria. The females all seem very fine but 90% of the males I get succumb to this. I have used mehtyl blue etc to control but doesnt seem to work.

Regards

How are you getting the Ich in the first place??? If it is coming through your water supply simply store it for a week and as they have no host they just die. Also treat the tank as well as the fish even 3-4 weeks if necessary, if it is in introduced fish be careful when buying and get a QT tank.

Have a look in [link=My Profile] http://www.fishprofiles.com/forums/member.aspx?id=1935[/link] for my tank info

You can try increasing the water temperature a few degrees and adding aquarium salt to the water.

Tanks:
10 Gallon-2 Platies
