Maternity tank is snail riddled! | |
esandbergger Hobbyist Posts: 133 Kudos: 128 Votes: 0 Registered: 12-Jun-2005 | I have two tanks: one for the adults to mate in while my smaller one is for the preagnant females and fry to be safe...I now see snails multiplying like crazy as I had put some live plants in. I have clown loaches in my bigger tank for that issue but i think they would eat the fry. Would snail poison work? thanks |

Hopefully all the Snails will be eaten in a few days. http://uk.pg.photos.yahoo.com/ph/s8xi5heh/my_photos http://www.geocities.com/s8xi5heh/classic_blue.html http://groups.yahoo.com/group/buzaqq/ http://uk.pg.photos.yahoo.com/ph/s8xi5heh/detail?.dir=/mail&.dnm=1518scd.jpg&.src=ph http://www.flickr.com/photos/corydoras/ Member of the Malta Aquarist Society - 1970. http://www.maltaaquarist.com |

I don't see any reason they wouldn't do well in the fry tank as long as they have plenty of hiding spaces. They get scared a lot, especially in the beginning. I didn't see mine really until yesterday. They have found a nice little home in the bottom of my tank ornament. It is quite interesting to see them "living" in my castle. lol Christina |
