Suicidal Platy's! | |
PurestDJ Hobbyist Posts: 64 Kudos: 21 Registered: 12-Feb-2006 | Over the past 6 weeks I have lost 2 Platy's in suicide dives out of my tank during the night! Trouble is I have a lid on my tank, with 2 small (2cm x 2cm) gaps in 2 corners for airlines and heater cables and they seem to get out of these! I can't work out why they have started to do this as I've had them about a year now and have never seen any lemming like activities while cleaning the tank or moving logs around? I have one left and I can't bare to wake up in 6 weeks time to find a dried out corpse beside my tank in the morning! |

Are there any other fish in the tank? Before you criticize someone walk a mile in their shoes. That way you're a mile away and you have their shoes. |

If they don't like the PH would that make them jump? |

I would understand if they were nervous fish but they seem very happy...apart from jumping out of the tank at night! |
