On average, males are 1-1 1/2 inches. Females 1 1/2-2 inches. However there are strains where the females reach 3+ inches, with males being over 2 inches. And yet, there are some that both stay under 1 1/2 inches.

When you say "normal" I assume you are refering to the majority you see at LFS.

If so the average fully grown would be about 1&1/2 ins or 35-40mm.

In my experience, males reach around a max of about 1.5 inches, females can be as much as 3 inches.

My female guppies always seem to be bigger than my males, my males have been up to almost 2.5 cm, and females almost 3 cm. But I always like to buy mine a little smaller, but i have seen some pretty big guppies in stores, at least 3.5cm to 4cm.

my largest male with tail is about 2.7 inches, (which is uncommon) and a female at maybe 4 inches.
