I made another post this morning because no one had responded to my first post that was made yesterday morning. I thought that capital letters in the title would get more attention, which they did. I didn't know how to delete my first post from yesterday. Ooops!

Press the "delete" button at the bottom of the box where your reply is.

If that doesn't work, a mod will have to come delete it for you.

Seeing no one answered you maybe I can
I personally would move my fry to your smaller set up, I have had really good sucess with fry by moving them out of my bigger tanks i dont say that any will survive while still in your large tank.
you could keep the few you found in there until there about an inch to and inch and a half long (Unless you have big fish with large mouths then in that case let them grow until they are not small enough to fit in the bigger fishs mouth)

They are fun little guys to watch grow...and if keeping them is a problem your local pet store may buy them off you but keep in mind that they need to be big eoungh to call fish not fry =p

There also very well could be more fry in your tank sit down grab a coffee or pop and sit and watch the bottom and plants in your tank if they are there they will most likely be under plants trying to get away from the ones who are going to eat them

Best of luck
Angel Eel
P.S
If I had baby frys dieing and going missing I would also do two posts until I get and answer just make sure you delete the copys once you start getting answers

thanks. I tried to delet it, but i think that since there were already replies, the thread stays. i was only able to delete my post, but not your replies. Sorry.

I may move them, but im worried they carry the ich with them into the 2.5 gallon that's housing my apple snail. What do you think. I mean the fry are not showing ich spots and any free swimming ich should be dead since the water has been treated. So do you think it's worth risking infecting the other tank? Oh, and there are only two adult platies, one blue dwarf gourami (the sick tankmate) and three zebra danios in the ten gallon that's housing the fry. The danios seem most interested in trying to find the fry to eat. At least yesterday they did. They've kind of forgotten about them today.

I would personally still move them and treat the little tank to

BUT!!!!!
I know nothing about snails i could not say if it would harm him or not

Another thing are you sure that it is ick?
My oscar had something that looked like ick but it was accually his protective slime coating that was being beat up by another tankmate..

When this layer is attacked it starts to tear and looks like white fuzz type string things LMAO sorry but thats the way I explain it....

The reasoon I asked is because I do belive you said there is only one fish with this problem...keep in mind that ick is highly contagious and if one has it they probably all do..but with only one showing this it might not be ick!

NOW with that being said PLEASE check both of these out (ick and slime coating)

Id still treat these fellas if you do belive it is ick
but also keep an eye out for the fish lynching one another
I hope that helped somewhat =\

Before you criticize someone walk a mile in their shoes. That way you're a mile away and you have their shoes.
