I have a 125 with a large volitan lion, and HAD a snowflake eel. Best I can figure is the eel got a little crazy near the lion and got stung. It lasted about 2 weeks and the eel died. Dan |

Often eels and lions are recommended tankmates... For a 55 gallon, an Antennata Lionfish would be great. I've been told that Radiatas get too big for 55 gallons so I'm going to trust that advice. And of course, the Volitans would definitely outgrow. Better to be safe than sorry on the Radiatas, though. :%) -------------------------------------------- The aquarist is one who must learn the ways of the biologist, the chemist, and the veterinarian. |
