I have just purchased over $1100 into my new tank and am really excited about setting it up. I ended up buying a via-aqua 68g bowfront with stand, filter(which isn't going to be used), and lights. Here is a list of the things that were bought. Please tell me if theres need for improvement or upgrades. I plan on having a fish only tank, seeing how I only have 3 30watt strips. Heres the list: Aqua-Clear 500 Remora pro hang on skimmer 20lbs sand, 1 3lb stone for hiding 15lbs aragonite 30lbs salt hydrometer thermometer 200watt heater Nitro-max marine and prime I hope I'm successfully on my way to having my new "world" of fish. When is the best time to buy my first fish? I had hoped on buying 2 clowns hopefully soon? Please let me now how I'm doing. This is a lot of money, and I don't want to waste it. Thanks in advance. |

As for the UGF, you can use them, but if your going to use sand, then you will have to scrap that idea. Instead of adding the damsels, your better off getting a few pounds of live rock to cycle the tank. Dan |
