Hi guys I just thought I would share these pics. I just tore down my 2.5 gallon and turned it into a 5 gallon so here they are.

Old tank 2.5

New 5 gallon

Enjoy and what do you think?

The rock and the plant pot look so small in that bigger tank now. They were sort of dominating the little tank but in the bigger tank they blend in much better.
The plants will be able to put a bit of height into their growth too, instead of being condensed in a small tank. Cool tank Jim.

Thanks Bren and the rock is a piece of Petrified Wood. Yea the Java moss should take off again and the Nana in the back should have more room to grow. That one is from a cutting I did a while back, The Java Fern is also from a mother plant I have here, its rhizome covers both sides of the DW.

Garry, one female betta and 3 otos thats pretty much it. As for the hairgrass I will see I have never had it before so I am not sure how it will do.

great transition and i like the 5g much better... the 2.5 was neat, but it seemed to small for the deco you chose...

can't wait to see where this goes!

yea, I am with deeno Jim... I think the pot and petrified wood are a better scale for this setup... I am looking forward to seeing how this tank transforms. I may just get a terra cotta pot for one of my tanks, I like that...

I keep extras on those pots, I get them from michaels for about 70 cents each. I have 3 in the 55 as well, and the fish seem to like hanging out in them.

Great new set up.
looks excellent in the new tank. Good luck with the plants. I'm new around here...do you have a CO2 helping you with the plants?
