It will be cheaper overseas as most countries allow plecs for import, but Aus doesnt allow that, thus the prices will increase dramatically.

how much is $500 aus to the british £?
cuz recently, i saw a goldie plec for £49.99, just wondering what the pirce difference was.....

You could probably crossbreed it with some other species of scobinancistrus, but:

1. don't. hybrids are bad.
2. good luck trying to find s. pariolispus in aus.
3. Scobs have never been bred commercially.

lol oh yes.. COuld it X-breed with other plecos? Or do plecos stay with thier own species..?

That is indeed a Sunshine Plec AKA Goldie Plec. It was faded before, but the in-tank pics show the colors coming in. I will agree with your ID. That is a great plec species and can catch a prett penny on this side of the pond as well, er, relatively speaking.:%) Congrats, congrats, you've got good friends.

Can I borrow them & not give them back

Its almost been a month now since my bday, but my friends gathered up and gave me a last bday pressie. They called my mobile and told me to go to the carpark of my work and told me to look under my car. There it was...a box...I was thinking...a box under the car...hmmm anyways, if its a bomb then o well, so I decided to open it. And what was in there? Stacks of news paper...at first I was like..."...ummm...right..." then i decided to take all the stuff out and found a fish bag! It was foggy around the bag, but when it out of the box, I found a nice baby pleco! Thats right! I pleco worth over $500 (private) or upto $900 (retail) Aussie bucks!

I thought I was dreaming, but they all walked out of nowhere and shouted out "Suprise!" They all know I love catfish, but I didnt know they would get me one of these! Love them so much...even though they are all guys....
