Does he stay that skinny or did you just get him and if so is he fattening up? The brighter colored scales just a trick of camera lighting or are they on the fish? The dull spots is that just flesh, ie no scales? Attributes of a leather carp mis. The scales are found scattered on some carp species but never on goldfish, but yes can be found on a goldfish hybrid. I want to say definately not a koi hybrid due to what seems like a lack of whiskers, but it sure looks closer related to german carp and Koi than goldfish. Spike ate 3 of the 4 guppies that I bought last week. (I know it was him because I saw the evidence ) Should I feed them more? or is Spike just a little over agressive? Healthy fish will almost always eat when food is available, so long as they can find it. -------------------------------------------- The aquarist is one who must learn the ways of the biologist, the chemist, and the veterinarian. |
