They look like possibly red zebras, mush different fish. This is an electric yellow and they look like this from when they are 1st spat: If you thought these were the electric yellows with the kenyi then they would be able to co-exist with them as the red zebra's as far more aggresive than the yellow labs. I'm not sure about coexisting in a 29 I believe you have. By all means marry; if you get a good wife, you'll be happy. If you get a bad one, you'll become a philosopher. aquapickle27 Enthusiast Posts: 182 Kudos: 98 Votes: 55 Registered: 28-Jan-2006 | What is the difference between mine and these: (the top picture) http://www.fishprofiles.com/profiles/gallery.aspx?id=520 I found these in the profiles on this site. The lighting in my tank is very dark, and the gravel is a reddish brown. Would that make a difference in the color? †Aquapickle† |

They are also a brighter yellow as compared to yours which look to lean more towards orange. There's nothing wrong with these fish IMO, they are just mot labs. I believe that there is a variation that does not have the black but i really think yours are definitely red zebras. Here a link to a profile with a few different pics. I would've used the one from this site but the pic is of a holding female which kinda distorts iy's normal look: http://www.cichlid-forum.com/profiles/species.php?id=1730 By all means marry; if you get a good wife, you'll be happy. So would these fish still work in the setup i have or do i need to do some changing around? Is there any other things i should know about these fish? Thanks! †Aquapickle† |

IMO, I think you will end up having problems since you will have two highly aggresive fish. I think the kenyi will end up being your bigger problem. Some have had major problems with red zebras with occasionally getting a hyper aggresive individual, which could shut down a tank. The tank is just not large enough to house thes species, especially together. Sorry By all means marry; if you get a good wife, you'll be happy. If you get a bad one, you'll become a philosopher.
