I still haven't figured out how to take a picture head on without the flash distorting it though so this isn't a great picture. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v224/jenbabe256/47108d0b.jpg |

Fake plants can be very nice. IMO silk is by far more realistic than plastic. the only plastic one in this setup was the tall one in the back center near the filter intake tube. Sin in Style Mega Fish Posts: 1323 Kudos: 1119 Votes: 165 Registered: 03-Dec-2003 | sorry your asking the wrong person, im just starting into live myself. like most i bought fake to start thinking i would never get real plants, never be interested in dealign with the so called hassle. now i have the job of getting 40 lbs of sand out a 75g tank thats fully stocked. the sand was $40 total. so now i gotta remove that and buy gravel to replace it. just thought i would prevent someone else from makeing the same mistake. substrate thickness depends on the plant life. the plant life will dpeend on your lighting. do some research, take your time. make sure your happy before you start or your just gona create another project later. if your favorite plant needs more lighting...then get more lighting dont settle for 2nd pick because of it. here are some links to plant info.
