Got any pics of your Salifin Plec?

ya i really think the pleco is my favorite fish, unfortently hes nocturnal and im not lol. i get to see him for a few mins at night before i crash. those pics were taken about 30 mins after lights out. i had to kill the lights early to get them that good and those pics are about 1/4 of the ones i took. most the pics came out as a tail or a blur.took me 2 nights of trying to get a few decent ones. glad you all enjoyed them but honestly in person is 10x better especielly when he swims the length of the tank is one woosh of his tail. he mostly glides around stearing with his tail kinda like a reef shark or something. very cool to watch. maybe someday ill figure out how to get my digi cam video onto the web ill post a small clip of it. That and feeding time of the cichlids heheh.

Well, i guess the fish enjoy the tank also. got my 1st holder heheh. cant see any black heads in their yet but shes deffinetly got a mouth full of something. looks to be all white right now so its not the sand off the bottom.

i got 2 choices of getting pics of my pleco, lights off or in a cave lol. none any good really. i might try to snap one at night with the flash and see how my luck goes. no promises though hehe. swere hes liek a roach, turn the light on and all you see is a dust storm where he was lol.

ya its black moon sand, also have a power-glo 40 watt bulb in. its suppose to bring out yellows and blues and help plants glo so thought it would be perfect

very nice tank by the way I see what you ment about the black moon sand(i think its that anyway) It realy makes all your fish stand out how big are they all?
They Socolofi are realy nice iv only ever seen them in the albeno colour but the blue ones are.
Have you ever had fry yet from the yellow labs?
Ilike the terra cota pots how they are all stanked like that any ways very nice tank

I really like the tank! Very nice! I understand how the whole "sit still then dart off" thing goes. My angels and eels do the EXACT same thing to me. I will think I have a great pic, then I look down and all I see is a blur of a tail leaving the pic. Gotta love 'em!

Back in the game after 4 years out ..

i know alot of pics are out of focus and what not. keep in mind these are cichlids they swim like lightning then stop on a dime then take off just as fast. so timing the pause is near impossable. these were the best of about 50 shots lol. you convince them to sit still for 2 seconds an ill show you better pics heheh.
