I borrowed a camera from work (Nikon D80) and was experimenting with the settings a bit. Went a bit overboard and took hundreds of shots, but as expected only a fraction of them turned out as well as I wanted. Following is a selection of them. Firstly the 180 gallon community tank: Full Tank Shot Left side Centre Right side Next to the 50 gallon Peacock cichlid tank: full tank (Yes I know there are water marks all over the inside of the tank - any suggestions to remove these without stripping the tank down are welcome, vinegar when we were setting the tank up did not work) Now on to some of the inhabitants... From the 180 Gallon: Acaras acara 1 acara 2 acara posing for the camera Angelfish Male Angel Female Angel This pair recently spawned for the first time, unfortunately I didn't have the camera handy, and the eggs disappeared pretty quickly. Hillstream Loach Side view Hiding behind the vals Platinum Gourami Hanging out under his pretend bubble nest From the 50gallon: Peacock cichlid group - 3 males, 4 females Marbled Male Blue/Yellow male Blue/Black male Tangerine female Plain/steel female Tangerine female holding eggs And a few from the other random tanks around the house: Snail (we call this one Dumbo... those antennae remind me of big floppy elephant ears) Acara Fry tank Find the fry (blue acara) Gourami Fry tank Sparkling Gourami Fry 10 gallon Ninja Shrimp tank Ninja Shrimp - older pic, but still a good one Enjoy G_T Never be afraid to try something new.
