Hello mum! MY Synodontis eupterus saying "hello." | |
TigerAngel Fish Addict Posts: 522 Registered: 22-Feb-2004 | My hubby took this photo today of my Synodontis Eupterus. He or she comes out a fair bit now. Loves swimming up-side-down. Its about 7". The Golden Chinese Algae Eater in the log is bigger. He is about 8" long. He respects the catfish. When the catfish was 1/2 this size, he ate 14 of my baby molly which where about 2/3" big, over night. ] TigerAngel attached this image: |

And damned hard to photograph really well because as has happened with your pics, the eyes have caught the flash. Otherwise, a very good shot. For some reason, this species is a real pig to photograph using a flashgun without getting flash bounce in the eyes ... Exceptional ones have dorsal filaments that flow back beyond the caudal fin. If yours grows to that extent, you have a show winner on your hands! |

TigerAngel Fish Addict Posts: 522 Registered: 22-Feb-2004 | Thanks Calilasseia, He/she does have small extentions on its tail. They were longer, but they were worn off from him/her dragging its tail on the stones under the bell that he/she likes to hide in. Heres another picture of him/her. TigerAngel attached this image: |

And even his photo has flash bounce in the eyes, so I wouldn't worry too much Juveniles are really cute too. But the big adults have that "Look at me, I'm something special" aura about them. Nice fish, TigerAngel, wish my house had the space to house an aquarium capable of giving one a decent home |
