The previously pictured guppy babies, again. The parts that look blue are actually black with blue irridescence.


I'm terribly excited because I managed to get some pictures of the daddy guppy which didn't turn out as a blur of yellow and black. Granted they're not GREAT pictures, but at least they show you what he sort of looks like. Yes, he was attacked by a bit of fin rot, so his tail's a bit ragged. He also shows some hints of orange in his tail, which would explain the yellow/orange appearence of the female babies.

The green of the first image is his irridescence, not actual coloring. The mother(s) are silvery gray with yellow and black markings on their tails (also shows some blue and orange). One mother has passed away. I still can't get decent pictures of the remaining mother without her looking washed out and plain (or like a brilliant flash of silver).

Oddly enough, the third baby boy gifted to my sister is turning out to be... well, he looks like an endler! Here's a picture of him, though his coloring is a bit washed out. He was passed by as female for a while because there's a black splotch over his tummy that looks like a misplaced gravid spot. It tends to fade in and out of being, which is why you can't really make it out in this picture:


I just added four more boys to my sister's tank (yay for the female/male ratio evening out a bit!), and they're all still silvery/gray, though three of them have evidence of orange and blue on their tails. The fourth just has a bit of blue thusfar.

And of course, since this is my sister's tank and she has ADFs that are just SO cute...
