You should consider upgrading to at least a 250 gallon if you want to keep all of these fish. those aren't halfbeaks. They are hujeta, which can reach over 10 in and require a tank of at least 75 gallons. They are also very predatory, and once large enough, may try to eat their tankmates Your mono will eventually require brackish water as an adult, and so it will eventually need its own tank. They also grow to around 10 inches and require at least a 75 gallon. Zebra loaches should be kept in groups of at least three. To tell you the truth, the only fish that would fit in that tank are the BN's, the zebra loach, and the king tiger pleco, but even if you did only have these fish in the tank, it would still be overstocked. The rest of the plecos will also require a larger tank. |

They may be fine now, but i could almost guarantee you that everything will fall apart in time. When fish are kept in a tank that is too small for them, they go through a process known as stunting. This is when their body stops growing, although their internal organs keep on growing, and thus they die early and painfully. If not put into a larger tank soon enough, most of your fish will go through this process. Also, unless you do daily 50% water changes, nitrates will eventually get out of hand, and kill your fish. Also, IME plecos are particularly sensitive to nitrates. And last, I have heard that plecos can be quite territorial towards others of the same family. In such a confined space, you should expect to see a lot of aggression and fighting between the plecos. |
