I see. Your lucky, you must have a bit of extra algae in your tank as my ottos almost cleaned out my algae problem overnight. Now I have to find something else to feed them. Do you think lettuce would work?

I posted a thread in general freshwater to help me decide between anglefish or the gouramis so we will see. Thanks for the info. by the way.

And no problem. It's easy to compliment nice fish and pictures.

Pat,

Thanks for the compliment.

I don't feed my Otos ever, they are having enough food that accumulates naturally, aka algae. And as you can see by their bellies they are not starving .

The Pearls get to around 4 inches, are very pieceful and don't like to be alone. I would suggest 2 (1f-1m) as the bare minimum, better even 3 (2f-1m) or more.

Nice otos!

I recently got 4 for my 55 and they seem to always travel in a group. They have also done some decent damage to my algae problem. What do you feed your otos? Or do they just find algae here and there?

[edit] Also, how big do pearls get? I was thinking of either getting 1 or 2 of them for my 55, or an Angelfish.

My latest additions as of 2 hours ago, 3 Pearl Gouramies. Currently they are in QT in the 20G and will eventually (if all goes well) go into the 125G.

I like the last one the best to tell you the truth...looks very cool at the surface.

Very cute, have fun with the young from the preggy one, she is a beautiful fish.

I know it is probably the weakest of my shots in this thread, but here is a picture of my Sunset (Sunburst) Platy in my 29G, feeding on the surface:

Thanks all for the comments,

Here is one more, one of my Otos in the 125G. I know it is not as outstanding as the Platy one, but the best I have so far.

Hi,

I create this thread to share my fish pictures with you. I hope that you like them.

I will keep on adding whenever I think I got a nice one that is worth sharing.

Thanks for any comments,

Ingo
