Hi All,

Just wanted to share some photos of 2 of my tanks:
42g tank, month 2 (started out with all plastic plants)
42g tank, month 7 (changed to live plants around month 4; pls excuse the reflections)

23g planted tank, week 1
23g planted tank, month 2
23g planted tank, month 4
23g planted tank, month 4 closeup

Both tanks are low-light, non-CO2 tanks (the 23g gets Flourish Excel daily). EI fertilization routine on the 23g. The 42g gets micros only every couple of weeks.

Fish and plant list in my profile. All comments welcome! Thanks for looking.

Very nice pictures
The first pic with the plastic plants looked really nice.

Awesome pictures. I've got low light planted tanks too, hope they turn out as nice as yours!

That's a really lovely planted tank, upikabu.
You've done a very good job.

Thanks guys!

The 42g is my hodge-podge, low-maintenance (read: water change every few months) tank. The main emphasis is packing it with weeds (Wisteria, Elodea). I'm thinking of changing the Elodea (left side) with Water Sprite in the near future since I'd like to use Flourish Excel to get rid of some BBA on the H. corymbosa, but I've found that Elodea is extremely sensitive to Excel, even at low dosages.

The 23g is the one I spend more time on in terms of fertilization routine (EI), pruning, water change, etc. Honestly I couldn't have done it without all the help from people here (directly or indirectly through their posts). So a big thanks is in order!

Please keep the comments coming (including negative ones!). Where are all the planted tank people? Hmm, maybe I should have this moved to the Planted Aquaria section.

The broad-leaved one on the left is Hygrophila Corymbosa (Blue Stricta).
The smaller-leaved ones in the middle are Hygrophila Polysperma (green) and Ludwigia Repens (reddish).

Nope, I don't have any hornwort. The ones in the month 2 pic of the 23g is Elodea (Anacharis). They've been replaced with Aponogeton Crispus (in month 4 pics).

Cheers
